Start with how you like to camp

Some campers want a simple basecamp for weekend trails. Others are planning longer trips, family getaways, or quiet nights far from a hookup. The right setup depends on you, not on a one-size-fits-all package.

At 62 Sales, we start with proven camper platforms from Modern Buggy, Encore RV, and Upcountry RV, then tailor the setup around how you actually camp. That can mean off-road accessories, expanded solar and electrical capacity, more water storage, or a combination that makes sense for your adventures.

We customize your camper, for your unique type of camping!

And we believe in getting back to basics. A smaller, simpler camper can mean less time managing a big rig and more time outside: exploring, cooking under the awning, and enjoying the freedom of the open road.

Build on a platform that fits your trip

The best custom build starts with the right foundation. Our towable campers include compact options suited to travelers who value a manageable setup and easygoing trips. For example, the Modern Buggy 12LRK has a rear galley, a 12-volt cooler/freezer, a 200-watt solar system with a tethered solar blanket, and an 11-gallon fresh water tank. It’s a thoughtfully equipped starting point for spending more time outdoors.

We also build on Encore RV platforms, including the RŎG adventure trailer series, and Upcountry RV truck campers. Each brings its own layout and features to the conversation. Explore our truck campers to see options designed for pickup-based travel.

The goal isn’t to add every accessory available. It’s to choose a platform that suits your travel style, then make practical upgrades that help it work better for you.

Why these platforms hold up to real custom work

We build on these brands because the foundations are already solid. Modern Buggy campers use AZDEL composite walls, no-wood Vixenite composite flooring, a one-piece AZDEL-backed fiberglass roof, and a torsion axle suspension with all-terrain tires and electric brakes. The 12LRK sits at roughly 1,575 pounds dry with 14 inches of ground clearance, and the BB17 stretches to 19 feet 2 inches, 2,800 pounds unloaded, with a 16-gallon fresh water tank and a 3,500-pound torsion axle.

Encore RV takes a similar approach with 100% wood-free construction, an all-aluminum frame and chassis, Tri-Bond 360 construction, powder-coated aluminum “Forever Cabinets,” and one-piece fiberglass roof, floor, and walls. Their RŎG 12RK-SS flagship is proof of it: Encore hung that trailer upside down from its rear kitchen cabinet for five days to demonstrate the strength. Encore backs it with a transferable 2-year bumper-to-hitch warranty and a 5-year structural warranty.

Upcountry RV truck campers are built for pickup-based travel with ultra-light all-composite construction and no wood to rot. The 575U-XS comes in at just 1,250 pounds dry and fits short- or long-bed 1/2-ton and 3/4-ton trucks, while the 775U is 1,722 pounds dry for 1/2-ton and larger trucks with a 6.5-foot bed and arrives with a 200-watt solar system that’s already set up for expansion.

That is a foundation worth customizing. Learn more about us at 62 Sales.

Three ways to make a camper your own

1. Add the outdoor setup you’ll actually use

An awning can turn the side of your camper into a shaded place to cook, relax, or get out of a passing shower. A tent or annex can add another sheltered space. Racks, storage cases, caps, bed racks, and recovery gear can help organize equipment for the trip ahead.

We customize our units with awnings, tents, and accessories from OpenRoad 4WD. Its broader product lineup includes different awning styles and accessories, rooftop tents, truck caps, tonneau covers, racks, winches, recovery equipment, storage cases, and camping water tanks. The right gear depends on the camper, vehicle, intended use, and fitment. We’ll help you think through what belongs in your setup.

2. Plan electrical and solar around your trip

Power needs look different for every camper. Maybe you want to keep devices charged and lights on during a weekend away. Maybe you’re planning longer stays and want to explore additional solar or battery capacity.

We can discuss upgrades such as expanded solar, additional battery storage, battery monitoring, and how charging sources work together. The right plan starts with the equipment you expect to use and how long you want to stay out. That way, the electrical system is chosen for your kind of camping, not just because a bigger number sounds impressive.

Some platforms already include solar or solar prep. The Modern Buggy 12LRK, for example, comes with a 200-watt flex solar system and tethered solar blanket. Its 62 Sales Off Grid Package adds an oversized front aluminum toolbox prepared for solar expansion and additional battery storage. We’ll walk you through what’s included, what’s an upgrade, and what best fits your plans.

3. Carry water for longer stays

A longer stay between fill-ups can make remote camping feel more relaxed. Depending on the build, an expanded fresh-water setup may help you extend your time away from a water connection.

Our custom Modern Buggy 12LRK Off Grid Package includes an expanded, front-mounted aluminum water tank alongside its standard fresh water system. The build also adds a full outdoor shower with a privacy changing surround and access from the cabin. An LP upgrade with a tankless on-demand water heater is available.

Water capacity, installation, and the complete setup depend on the specific camper and chosen configuration. We’ll talk through your needs and the practical details before settling on a plan.

A real example: the Modern Buggy 12LRK Off Grid Package

The custom Modern Buggy 12LRK Off Grid Package shows how a compact camper can be adapted for more time off the grid. Its 62 Sales customizations include:

  • An oversized front aluminum toolbox prepared for solar expansion and additional battery storage
  • A custom 180-degree batwing-style awning with integrated LED lighting
  • A full outdoor shower system with a privacy changing surround and cabin pass-through access
  • An expanded front-mounted aluminum water tank
  • An available LP upgrade with a tankless on-demand water heater
  • A full pre-delivery inspection and verification

The idea is simple: give the camper useful outdoor living space, plan for power and water, and keep the setup suited to the way its owner wants to travel. It’s not about turning every trip into an expedition. It’s about having more freedom to choose where the day takes you.

Keep it simple. Make it yours.

A smaller camper can be a wonderful reminder that the best part of camping often happens outside the camper. A simple galley, a comfortable place to sleep, a little shade, enough power for your essentials, and water for the trip: that may be exactly what lets you relax and enjoy the moment.

Tell us what matters most. Where do you like to camp? How long do you stay? What do you want to power, carry, or keep protected from the weather? Those answers help us recommend a setup that feels right for you.

At 62 Sales, we’re a family-owned dealership, not a big national chain, and we believe good help shouldn’t stop when you drive off the lot. We take time for thorough walk-throughs so you can understand your camper’s systems. Have a question later? Seth is just a call or text away, anytime.
